Chromatic Dragon, age 17, with us since 2016

Prisma has been with us for almost a decade. We've tried to locate others of her kind during many expeditions in that time, but Chromatic Dragons are quite reclusive and we've not yet been successful.

Prisma will be 18 in July 2026 and has decided to go with our next expedition to the dragon realm. The Fracture is due to open quite far from the foothills where her family used to live, but Prisma is a strong flyer and is confident she can make her own way there.

We'll be sad to see her go and hope she is able to find her family or find friends to make a new family with, but we are also so proud of how Prisma has grown up and support her choice to make her own way back to her people.

Chromatic Dragons

Chromatic Dragons share an affiinity with the rainbow. It is said that a Chromatic Dragon can only lay its eggs where the rainbow meets the land.

Key features of Chromatic Dragons include:

  • Multicoloured scales that shift colour according to their mood.
  • Flames of many colours.
  • Small, nuclear family structure.
  • Often make their homes near or behind waterfalls.
